ABOUT BEYOND THE CANVAS ART STUDIO
At Beyond the Canvas Art Studio, we have always believed in the power of art. Our business has been in operation since 2018. We offered art therapy and art classes and parties in Waupun, WI and therapeutic art classes for adults with disabilities in West Bend, WI.
In 2019 we decided to close the Waupun location so that we could dedicate all of our time and energy to our West Bend location. Following this, in June 2019 we moved into our current location in West Bend at 1747 Barton Avenue.
ABOUT OUR ART THERAPIST
Sarah Braun Otten always loved art but didn't know what she wanted to do in life with it. Then she found out about Art Therapy and was instantly hooked because she could take her love of art and help people.

Sarah attended Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI and earned a BA in Art Therapy. From there, she went to Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, WI to earn a MS in Art Therapy with a Concentration in Counseling.
​
From 2011 until 2018, Sarah worked for Donna Lexa Art Centers as an art therapist and provided therapeutic art classes to adults with disabilities in West Bend. When Donna Lexa Art Centers decided to close their West Bend location in 2018, Sarah continued the therapeutic art classes for any students who wanted to continue with her and Beyond the Canvas Art Studio was born.

Sarah works with all populations and skill levels, providing individual and group art therapy and art classes. She specializes in working with children, people with disabilities, and the elderly.
